5 Cookbooks I Adore!
Everyone has cookbooks they go to for quick and fast meals, get together meals, or for elaborate parties. Inside u will find 5 of my, at this point in time, favorites and why they qualify as such.
Everyone I know loves the crockpot. Its great to be able to set up a whole meal in one pot in the morning and let it slowly cook until evening. The house smells so delicious! This book is chalk full of easy to read and do recipes.
I love the fact that its chapter 6 is meatless for those that have no meat at the time, or who do not eat meat. I dont think all the recipes are vegetarian, but there are plenty of ways u can rearrange a recipe to fit ur needs. :)
One of my absolute favorites is this simple German Cookbook. It has the German names for the dish (thought I cant speak it well at all). :) This booklet reminds me of my GrandMother and her cooking. How her home was always filled with goodies and her stove always on when we visited her. She always was ready to greet her guests with a light meal.
If tradition is ur way then I totally recommend this cookbook. Its easy to follow, they items are usually ones u have already on hand, and the many tastes will please all in ur family. A true keeper for traditional German folk. :)
Sorry this ones a blur, but its great for cocktails with friends either for a party or after party. U can kick back for a beach drink or a snuggle front of the fire on a Winters night. A lot of these drinks can be made into non-alcoholic versions and still taste awesome. :)
The recipes are easy to follow, easy to read and sound so delicious. :) Its chalk full of unusual recipes and very creative drinks, maybe u can come up with a few of ur own. Make a signature drink u call all ur own and add it into the book! :)
Planning a party? From little to huge, these recipes are sure to please everyone, young and old alike. :) Betty Crocker has always been famous for recipes, but this book is to yummy to pass up. It has great recipes and ides to follow for a terrific party. Plus the vintage look makes it a special hand-me-down to ur kids. :)
Theres something for every holiday in here. Even George Washingtons Birthday (shown). From kids parties to off the wall gatherings, u can throw a great party for anything, lol. The kids will love the activities and helping decorate while u cook...this also serves as a great teaching tool for kids as they get older in the form of Hospitality. :)
I just found this cookbook at my local Goodwill store, so I havent been able to give the recipes a try yet. Reason its here is because I love love love the vintage, retro look of it. The recipes sound terrific, even off the wall, lol. I love to read about others lives and ideas, etc and this is a catch all cookbook with just that. :)
This book is chalk full of wonderful pictures, some off the wall but still terrific, even if u dont cook, I would recommend this book for reading and viewing pleasure, its wonderfully put together and the idea of it was a great hit with me as Im sure it will be with many. :)
Those are my 5 choices at this point in time, I hope u look them up and find them as enjoyable as I did! Blessed be my smexy witches!
