My List of Positives
Today I was going to make a list of things that make me feel more positive. But this afternoon was basically sucky. I got an invite from a friend on IMVU to a dance club opening tonight, but its AP and I'm not. :( So, I cant go to that, total bummer. Then I got a visit from someone and that turned out confusing and upsetting. :(
It's hard to concentrate on the positives when something negative happens, but I try. So once done tearing up, I decided I will work on this post anyway. Cause I love u guys so much, the Blog must go on! :)
My List of What Helps Make me Feel Positive is:
1.) Listening to music. My favorite for dancing is Dubstep and Kpop. For sleep its Delta Waves.
2.) Taking a nap helps to relax and recharge.
3.) A relaxing, hot bath with essential oils. Morning baths I use Sweet Orange Essential Oil and/or Grapefruit Essential Oil. Evening baths I use Lavender Essential Oil. To this I add Epsom Salts, scented or not.
4.) I like twinkling lights, sparkly things, they cheer me up so I like to use them in my bedroom. I placed a string of white Christmas lights across the headboard of my bed I use as a night light. :)
5.) Eating something comforting gets me in a positive mood. I try not to indulge to much in my beloved chocolate. :)
6.) Applying a bit of my favorite perfume. I wear a Sweet Orange and Grapefruit Essential Oil I made myself right away in the morning because it wakes me up and helps me feel good. Throughout the day I spritz with whatever other perfume I like to wear.
7.) Talking to someone when I have an issue to get it off my chest or get advice helps me stay focused and not drown in my depression and anxiety.
8.) Meditating helps me stay focused on the positive energy and helps me push the negative energy out.
9.) Being in nature is great, I love the outdoors, the warm weather and just the sun shining upon my skin. Fresh air is great for healing the mind, body and soul.
10.) Spending time with Velcro (my kitty) and other animals soothes my anxiety. Petting and playing with them gets my mind off my troubles.
11.) Traveling is fun. I love car rides to places I haven't been to before...heck, even in my own area, there is always something new to see. :) I love staying in hotels. Somewhere new and fresh (and cleaner :) ) other than my home. Preferably with a pool and hot tub, lol.
12.) Exercise and dance makes me feel more positive and energetic. I do mine while I am playing on IMVU also. I do it the middle of the day, though early is very good to, but that's when I do my massages when I can. :)
I do light exercise because of my health conditions, but it's enough to get my body moving, at least until I can do more.
This is just a few of the things that help me to feel more positive throughout the day. It's my go to list when feeling down and out, when I'm struggling with dysfunctional family members, when I am depressed or anxious or when I just need to recharge for the day...week...month.... lol. Give some of these a try and u might be surprised at how much a few minutes just for u can boost ur day. :)
