What A Healthy Lifestyle Is To Me
Many people still wonder what a healthy lifestyle truly is. To me it is a combination of exercise, eating less in portions and uping the healthy nutrients in the foods u do eat, learning practices that help u manage emotions and stress, finding things that make u happy and relaxed, connecting with ur higher power, ridding ur life of toxic people (negative people) and bringing in people who support u and who u are and what u do. What do I do to have a healthy lifestyle? Alot of things, lol. I make a schedule for my day and follow it best I can all the time. I take meds for my mental health if I feel they are helping me. I do self face and body massages in the morning and at night before bed. I eat alot of fresh spinach, I add it to almost everything. I cut down on sweets and fatty foods. I do more reading and studying, listening to music, keeping a life planner (The Happy Planner 360), and I like to lay in the sunshine when it's around, even in the Winter time, I lay on the couch, floor, or my bed. I love to exercise and it doesn't have to be boring, I do seated exercises in a chair if my back is acting up, I move all my body parts, and listening to upbeat music is wonderful. Aerobics, dancing, stretches, walking, jogging in place, the use of rubber bands, balls, weights, canned vegetables, lol, all work great. I also have been doing videos of what I like (which is relaxing to me), and doing DIY's, also wonderfully relaxing. I decorate my planner, bookscrap, read, watch shows from YouTube (humor and laughing is an emotion lifter) and I play with my Reborn daughter Sophia (FYI, she's my doll, lol). To stay connected with my higher power, I pray (sometimes writing them in a prayer tablet), I relax at times and think of the greater outdoors, I listen with a quiet mind to see if I get messages during prayer for which way my heart is being led. Even doing bible reading and bible art is a relaxing way to connect with God...but u may do something like this with whatever higher power is the one u feel closest to. I bathe every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and then do a spa day on Sunday...Sunday being my free day to do as I please and even have those nasty snacks. :) My work keeps me busy through out the week, Monday thru Friday, 9 am to 4 pm. And I squeeze in a few hours of house work in the early afternoons. Tell me what u do to keep a healthy lifestyle, I would love to know. :)
